Bernadine Evaristo’s Girl, Woman, Other, has been longlisted for the 2020 Women’s Prize for Fiction.
Now in its 25th year, the prize seeks to celebrate the very best full-length fiction written by women throughout the world.
After winning the Booker Prize for Fiction alongside Margaret Artwood’s The Testaments in 2019, Girl, Woman, Other has done tremendously well across the globe.
The masterpiece revolves around the lives of Black British women and has been hailed as ambitious and linguistically inventive.
Others on the longlist include such big names as two-time Booker Prize winner Hillary Mantel for her forthcoming novel The Mirror and the Light, previous Women’s Prize winner Ann Patcher for The Dutch House and bestselling author Anne Emright for Actress.

The Women’s Prize Shortlist will be announced on 22nd April, and the winner on the 3rd of June.
